That's the entire "My Plan" logic. You don't have to take any add-on — the ฿499 base plan is a complete, working fiber connection on its own. We'll assemble the exact combination that fits your home and quote it in English.
FTTR (Fiber To The Room) extends the fiber all the way into each room rather than stopping at a single router near the door. In a large villa, a 4+ room condo, or a household where several people do heavy work-from-home in different rooms, it removes WiFi dead zones and keeps every room at full speed. But for the typical 1–2 bedroom expat apartment, a good WiFi 6 router — or a single mesh node — covers the space perfectly, and FTTR is money you don't need to spend. We'll tell you straight whether your floor plan justifies it. This is the kind of honest down-sell a carrier shop won't give you.
Combo Max looks cheaper because it rolls a mobile SIM into your fiber bill — but you only save if you were going to use a True postpaid line anyway. If you're happy with your current prepaid SIM or another carrier's mobile plan, the standalone My Plan is usually cheaper once you subtract the SIM you won't fully use. The 7-Eleven coupons are a nice extra, not a reason to switch. We do the actual math for your situation instead of assuming the bundle always wins.
To sign up you need your passport, one proof of stay (work permit, long-stay visa, or a condo lease/title deed), and a Thai mobile number for the account. No Thai national ID and no Thai bank account are required to start. Once the paperwork is in, True schedules installation in 3–7 business days — often faster in central Bangkok. The technician brings and sets up the WiFi 6 router (free for new individual customers). Here's the truth carriers won't advertise: your True bill arrives in Thai. We walk you through reading it in your first month and help set up auto-pay so you never miss it. True's call center (1242) has limited English, so for day-to-day questions — a slow connection, a plan change, a billing query — message us on LINE first and we handle it or translate.
